So far, so good

I woke up on January 1 past my “get out of bed” resolution time.  Um, like way past, because wild me stayed up until 1 a.m. knitting a new beanie.  This was after I concluded some store bought knits are cheapy made out of acrylic (and not wool) and handmade is the way to go.

Spent NYE cheering for my team with my good friend Kelley at the VIZIO Fiesta Bowl – who apparently thought we were in Alaska…

Her hubby is the strength and conditioning coach for UofA, and we became friends almost eight years ago when I worked in marketing and she was in sales.  She’s one of my favorite people when it comes to having a good time – I’m always laughing, we share our hearts, and faith on marriage and life.  Kelley totally completes me when it comes to a day of fun!

Oh, and that’s the store bought hat I purchased last minute that made me think I needed to knit my own. *wink*

Yesterday Mr. Wonderful I saw Unbroken.  He read the book given to him by my dad 2-3 years ago and told me all about it. He booked us a 6 p.m. movie which gave us a good amount of time all day to:

  • Take down outdoor Christmas lights
  • Put away all Christmas decorations
  • Reorganize our storage/tool shed
  • Gather LOADS of donations and load my car to be dropped off at the hospice thrift store
  • Move some indoor items (cleaning supplies) to a new storage shelf

My belongings will be at the White Dove Thrift Shopped in Phoenix if you want to go.  I was a purging machine and I can’t wait to get it out of my car so someone else can love my things.

I hope you have a wonderful first weekend in the new year.  xx
