We had a few rainy days in Phoenix and I wanted to show you how lovely the garden looks on overcast days. I've been loving the new view from the expansion - now called the garden room. *wink*I was concerned about the garden views from the new room since the windows over by the garden area isn't ceiling to floor, but I have to say, the views are still dreamy. A bit of sprinkles here and there, I was happy to get out, check on the garden and take you with me. ♥
Growing Younger by Gardening
I bought this floral shirt on clearance at Macy's last fall. I think it was like $10 and totally made me think it was for a little old lady but then I thought - I kinda like it because my soul has always been a little older. But I swear sometimes I feel like I'm younger than I am too - ha!
I'm aware many of you are enjoying a gorgeous winter wonderland this season (I envy it), but for those of us living in Zone 9, including Phoenix - we enjoying an extended gardening season! You know this is my favorite time of year - fall. I used to love spring but with allergies it made me change my mind, tee hee. But I still do love spring because everything I planted for fall really flourishes come spring!
Cactarium in Palm Springs
How was your Thanksgiving, Black Friday, rival football game weekend? My Thanksgiving was delicious as always since we started going to Benjamin's relatives and also get some goody leftovers to enjoy later that night and the next afternoon. We indulged heavily in Black Friday since we had lots of things to buy for the expansion and saved up, more on that in a second. The fact that the items I had been eyeing and saved on Pinterest, were all on sale, we just decided to buy buy buy! When you've been waiting for the right moment then Black Friday and Cyber Monday rolls around, oh boy! My team lost in the territorial cup, but I didn't watch the game since I was decorating the house for Christmas and Mr. Wonderful was hanging Christmas lights.
Our Tool Shed Tour and Preparing our Winter Lawn
I realized I never talked much about our tool shed. Once we redid the photo studio, I kicked out the garden tools. I'm the luckiest girl to have my own office space and my own photo studio, thanks Mr. Wonderful! We agreed it would be messy to drag garden tools, lawn mower included, through the photo studio so we hired a handyman to build this tool shed around the back of the photo studio where the bunnies used to roam. Oh bunnies, those were the days. As you can see the toolshed is to the left when you're looking at the south side of the photo studio.
