Easter recap

The lushness of this greenery just blows me away! This was a wet lawn and we stepped out to take our annual Easter photo. I’m so glad we did and I just love how everyone dresses up for Easter and we come together after all these years, this is our 7th or 8th year depending on what you count (and 2020 we weren’t able to get together due to the lock down).

I had a different outfit in mind but I threw this on to be warm, it’s an old Banana Republic pleated skirt and a Forever 21 (um, Forever 31) bodysuit.

I had set the tables outside assuming the rain was going to stop at 10 am but nope, it kept pouring and then my friends showed up in little dresses and I was like ok, it is time to just go inside now. So we grabbed everything and took it inside I’m so thankful for great friends. Even the kids helped!

This was my outdoor setup under one of our patio spaces, right in the kitchen garden. I even had my electric heater (to the left) on, but it was just way too cold unfortunately!

Did you notice we painted the black facia to white? I love it! So airy and just cleaner.

We took in all the dishes and place settings and put them inside, the tablecloth stayed outside, what a bummer! But it is what it is! Sometimes you just have to let it be and I don’t stress anymore for perfection since it rained on my Juicy Couture Y2K themed birthday party.

If you like this tablescape it’s all from Pottery Barn, here’s the post of the collaboration details and all the product links which now are on sale!

That was the kid’s table and I taped everything down on the tablecloth so they just moved it and put it on the smaller table. It was kind of funny how everything stuck.

We have a new member to the Easter crew, little Brody!

We had an indoor egg hunt and the rules were to not search for anything. If you can’t see it, don’t start opening or flipping pillows over. Of course, the men still hid stuff and the women had to go back and be like um, no move it here.

The kids were great! We had personal hand drones for each kid, some clothing, makeup, all sorts of toys and odds and ends thanks to my parents collecting some items for us throughout the year.

We are thinking we will do one last egg hunt next year with different prizes. My friend Erika who owns Chik-fil-A downtown Phoenix mentioned gift cards to Chick-fil-A and I’m SO for it!

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, there’s some exciting news to share and I’ve been getting quotes and projects done because I have a deadline, end of this month to get it all completed! More when I feel like when it’s truly finalized! :)
