Las Vegas Adventures

Our 11th year in Vegas! I can’t believe 11 years has gone by so quickly. It was supposed to be all 6 of us in Vegas but we got down to 4 the day of! Long story short, one got food poisoning (and probably mixed with some anxiety sitting in the car feeling nauseous), and one canceled flight due to Colorado weather! We were lucky the other two of us (Brenna and I) made it because we got in the car when our flights were getting canceled and rerouted!

Anyway, we made it because it was important to us and we could so now I need to share the fun spots we checked out because after all these years, you gotta find some new spots and things to do, and that’s why we love Vegas! There’s always something!

Kumi Japanese bar

We got in late due to picking up a friend who also needed us to save her and her hubby from the side of the road from two flat tires! So, we missed our reservation at Retro so we went across the way (if that’s what you call it, you just turned around haha) and we decided to eat at Kumi Japanese bar! It was pretty delicious.

Brunch at Bouchon at Venetian

A new spot for us was Bouchon as we waited for another friend to fly in later that day. It’s French and fabulous! I ordered a chicken and waffles only to find that I overlooked the bacon in the waffles and in the syrup (I have a horrible pork intolerance that surfaced in my thirties). Oh well. I ate a little and survived.

Maybe you’re wondering why I have my big fur coat on, well it was freezing that weekend! It was mid-March and it was so cold which is why 1,000 flights were canceled nationally thanks to the storm in Colorado. So I packed my fur coat and I got lots of compliments on it in Vegas.

Retro by Voltaggio

Since we missed our dinner reservation on Friday we rebooked it for Saturday because well, lots of other people didn’t make it in and it was pretty flexible thank goodness. This is a temporary popup with a vintage flair from the 80s, 90s and it was so fun! It’s not super fancy but the experience is so worth it especially if you’re a millennial like me!

The meals were prepared like you remember as a kid! The pyrex, the Spaghetti-O’s were my favorite but I never ate them as a kid so now I’m curious if I’d like them out of a can! Anyway it’s their own twist like it’s not real Spaghetti-O’s, but it’s like them if you catch my drift!

A toast to friendship! 18 years of being a friend group with these girls I am SO grateful.

Look at the plates! The vibe was totally 1990s. And then they came out with a goodie bag for each of us and we freaked out!

There were also toys from our childhood on a table and cards to ask each other pop quiz questions. So fun! Highly recommend and it’s temporary so go if you are heading to Vegas anytime soon. You can go casual it’s not a dress up place, we just always dress up :)

KA at MGM

I didn’t take photos because it’s not allowed and we just kinda forgot — but I’ve seen this show before and it’s a favorite.  Trust me!

Brunch at Sadelle’s at Bellagio

We’ve eaten here before, the 4 of us together in 2022! It’s so gorgeous and right by the Bellagio Gardens. It is very feminine, delicious and worth going to make your reservation!

I wore all the clothes I already had. I love my wardrobe and I want to normalize wearing clothing I already own and love. This dress is from Lilly Pulitzer a few years ago. I had two people compliment me on it and one really went all out to compliment me on it so sweet! I think it’s worth splurging on dresses you know you will wear again and again!

Beauty Essex at Cosmopolitan

We have walked through Cosmopolitan hotel so many times but never done a thing there! So finally we thought, let’s do it! Brenna had been many years ago to Beauty Essex but maybe over a decade ago! It is hidden in a “speak easy” kind of spot where you think you are going through a pawn shop only to walk into the restaurant after you go through the back door!

It was small plates like tapas which is more my style. It was perfect since we all felt full from who knows what, probably eating all weekend!

My sequin outfit is from Badgley Mischka it’s a top and sequin pants, pretty heavy but I love it! I knew it was going to be cold so it was the perfect time to wear it!

And that’s another memory in the books! I didn’t mind driving because that was more girl time, and also thankful for my new nice car thanks to my husband so it was a nice ride! :)

I am listing what we did below, sorry if some of the links direct you elsewhere, remember I deleted any blog post from over 5 years ago and I am slowly going to add the back if they are important. I will work on it this summer. I also have lost some posts I think they just disappeared! Oops! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed seeing what we did in Vegas!
