I know I mentioned I now have work days and play days on my calendar to keep me focused. What do I do on play days? Shop online? I wish.
I tend to my garden. I have Safeway grocery delivery, and I prep for some meals. You heard right.
I don’t enjoy cooking for several reasons, cooking for two is a wee bit difficult. There’s always leftovers, I always overspend, it’s way more expensive than cooking for four or more. I found that if I put our deep freezer to use (we bought ours last year from Best Buy after the holiday sale and it was under $200 with delivery!) it’s a miracle what it can do.
I like to buy a few already cooked roasted chickens, they’re like $8. I use my fingers and shred them.
Then I put them in frisper bags and frisp them.
And put a date on when I did it. Oh, and if you’re wondering, my nail polish is NARS in Dovima, matches my red frisper doesn’t it?
These bags can be used up to 10 times. Then I drop them in the freezer.
Another great thing is Schwan’s grocery delivery too. We have our guy come every two weeks and my favorite is the frozen already cooked penne. Just 3 minutes in the microwave I can add it to anything – hummus, make a quick dish, and it’s done.
That’s all I have to offer in terms of food blogging. Any tips on making cooking more pleasant, easy, motivational? I could use all the help I can get. If you love to cook, check out my gf Michelle’s blog and subscribe so you get posts delivered to your inbox!
Diana Elizabeth says almost everything can be frozen, which is just fantastic!
