Bright colors for Headshots!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared photography work. I’m still shooting and I felt that this shoot of my good friend Brooke needed to be shared! We took these at my home.
There are two ways to avoid a flat photo and get really great headshots that pop and have personality – 1) wear color (or use it in the background) and/or 2) get makeup and hair done. Makeup is so important because of the blush, foundation, shadow, lipstick it is also color and that will help. Either of those will help but if you have both you have a winning headshot in my book.
Hair and makeup by Allison Pynn who has done makeup for many of my clients over the years.

I am so glad we could use my home as a background for headshots and shoots. I feel very blessed to have this space and thankful my clients and friends want me to use my home to be photographed in. It has come a long way over the decade and to have this light bright and airy space to shoot in is a dream and makes life easier for me, especially when it heats up outside! You can check out my photography portfolio on my website.
Diana Elizabeth has been on a purging spree because she can’t look at estate sales lately until she feels the house is purged and there is space to bring things in!
