I’m not sure how to decorate for fall when my home is all very blue and neutrals. So, I try to add a few elements here and there.
I started with this woven pumpkin from Pottery Barn. Oh, just saw they are on sale for $15 now, fabulous. Now that I look at our mantel I notice the lighting, frames and clock are also from PB. I need sponsorship, PB.
I bought Halloween candy way too early. Half of it’s already gone, dang it. Orange battery operated light will be strung on the front porch fence. Basket and battery operated light from Pottery Barn years ago. If you couldn’t tell, it’s my go-to place.
Look at our cute nutcracker – SQUIRREL! I need to buy some walnuts, the pecans are from my girlfriend Michelle who is a food blogger, as a decorating gift years ago, aren’t they pretty? I told Mr. Wonderful it wouldn’t be wise to crack into them but knowing him, he’ll probably try it.
The backyard patio has a little festivity going on too. I think I can keep these glass blown pumpkins through Thanksgiving. I’m hosting by the way – but not cooking. The parents come in on the Tour de Coops day and I’m guessing we should go before we get them.
And if you missed my earlier post on my upholstery nail pumpkins, here they are outside.
I just realized I’m not very original, I guess I just like pumpkins. If you have a post up on your fall decor, please post it below, I’d love to check it out!

Diana Elizabeth’s favorite season is fall – she knows she’ll sound wicked when she says this, but she likes when things are dying because of her horrible allergies. Plus, the weather is perfection!

Thanks Krystal! They have a red one at Anthropologie I saw. I got this guy at one of those home flash sales.
