I’m entering birthday season – 10 birthdays in May, 11 in July, and 18 in August! It can be overwhelming, but I find it enjoyable to celebrate the important people in my life on their special day.
At Walmart, they sell Hallmark cards starting at 47 cents!
I have many friends across the country, scattered everywhere from different chapters in my life – growing up in Northern California to college in Arizona, and a few years of living in Los Angeles.
I take my time to write a message to tell a far away friend how much they mean to me and how I celebrate them. It’s the one time a year that I get to connect with them through a card personalized just for them – aside from a mass Christmas card.
I went a wee bit crazy during my recent shopping trip but for 47 cents – it’s cheaper than a stamp! Remember when stamps were 24 cents?
Spending $5 on a card can be a lot, especially when you have a list like mine. If you mail cards like I do, for under $1 including postage, you could put the extra money towards adding more friends to your birthday card list, adding a gift card to a coffee shop, or flowers.
Did you know the definition of a hallmark is an official mark or stamp of authenticity? A little fact for you.
Some cards have the price on the back of the card and I wanted to show you that these cards do not, so you don’t have to be concerned, although I guarantee as we get older it’s not about what we receive but rather that a friend was thoughtful enough to remember or even give a sweet card. The cards are a matte finish, paired with pretty bright envelopes – sure to stand out among the bills.
I organize my cards in acrylic holders by style and occasion. I have a birthday calendar up on my inspiration board so I can see all the birthdays coming up!
These 47 cents Hallmark cards are sold exclusively at Walmart stores so make sure you stock up during your next shopping trip.
I organize my gift bags and supplies in an acrylic magazine rack. These Hallmark gift bags and tissue were 97 cents! You can find them in the same aisle.
