Unpacking

“I really don’t have that much stuff.  Everything I own, I actually use and need.”

I bet hoarders say the same thing.

The day before the big move, I found myself in my townhome surrounded with boxes galore.  Too many to count, too horrific to even snap a photo.  What on Earth? I swear that moving would help me purge but apparently I convinced myself I needed most of it, if not all of it to come with me to the new house.  However, it only took 2.5 hours to move out of the townhome and 2 hours to move into the house!  Thank you Arizona Discount Movers who are incredibly fast and ridiculously affordable!

Have you seen the movie Up?  You know the part where the dogs are doing something then someone yells “squirrel” and they go nuts and are distracted?  I feel like I have squirrels all over my house.  I pulled out the cables for the TV and felt overwhelmed and decided to organize my closet instead.  Then I got hungry, so I went to the kitchen to sort through some boxes for food.  Basically, not a single room is actually done yet.

There are many things I love about the new home as I am unpacking and finding a new home for all of the “things I use.”  The one and single thing I do miss however, is my pink and white striped closet that was once featured in The Arizona Republic.  Yes, those are wood pink velvet covered hangers.

Of course the new house has much more to offer and I’m beyond excited to call the house my new home sweet home.

Moving can be a wonderful but also stressful experience! My cousins live in Scottsdale and they used Muscular Moving Men (http://www.muscularmovingmen.com/) to move a few weeks ago. They said those guys really helped reduce the stress of the whole experience. If you ever move again keep it in mind!
