The Backyard Plans Reveal

I never planned for a backyard renovation but I am so glad that it’s happening! Here are the plans with a few modifications from below, and I’ll explain below!

here was no way I’d ever come up with an amazing plan like this.  We are so thankful for Kami for creating such an amazing plan for us. I told her to go crazy as if we had no budget and I could take away parts of it. So that’s why there’s an additional patio that we won’t be doing but I wanted it left in so I could have it in the future if we ever decided to add it.

We won’t be doing the path or the patio by the trellis. The rest we are all doing.

My photoshop modification to give to my cement and brick layer guy – which might give you a better sense of what is happening.

^^ Reminder, we are not doing the steps and the patio above, but I love the planter idea so I’m taking that and putting it on the other patio against the wall (on the right side with the faux fountain).

Here is the shape of the fountain idea – but it’s actually a seating area. We will have a niche in it, and do double brick like the one below. That’s the hope anyway.

I am also looking for candle wall mounted lanterns like above. It’s not an easy find.

^^ Oh and no posts on the side – Benjamin said it looks like a headboard hahaaaa.

I have to admit I’m juggling a lot with the backyard project and scheduling while also planning the book launch. I am wrapping up planning for my big 40th so that’s pretty good, everything has been ordered and set, so I can relax a bit but the planner in me thinks I need to still be shopping but I have time! Anyway, I am going to try to stay on my Tuesday and Thursday schedule but forgive me if I skip a few post days. I don’t plan on it, but I never know what is happening next!

Diana Elizabeth bought a spray paint respirator. She put up her spray paint popup tent and did some work but then she put it away and she realized she still needed to spray paint another thing! Shoot! Maybe she’ll leave it rusty white and put it in the garden.
