Turn your travel maps into a paper map dress

I spotted a paper map dress similar to this but larger on a flash sale site and I think it was around $400 or so. I don’t know about you, but I think my brain is trained (thanks to my creative mom) to say, “I can make that!” And so, I did – such a cute DIY travel map idea to create after your trip!

I went to Paper Source and bought a few wrapping paper sheets (London, Paris, San Francisco, see more here) and started to cut away. I figured it would fit nicely with my travel themed office (see video tour here). I also got to thinking – you could do this for free with your own travel maps when you return! Imagine an entire wall filled with all the places you’ve been.

Speaking of, not sure if I had mentioned it, I’m heading to Switzerland end of April with Jackie for 10 full days. I’m so excited and we’ve kind of started planning – OK, kind of not really because we’ve both been busy but I’ve dedicated a day this month to sit down and really plan the rest of our trip out.
