How’s your new year been? I have been thoroughly enjoying it so far, the first week has been good – my attitude of enjoying everything has changed my perspective and helps me refocus when I get really frustrated or lazy. I think in all that we do we can find some way to enjoy it – almost everything.
I am hoping landscaping will be done by the time I take off, but I’m not exactly certain. A week flies by very quickly and then suddenly we’re into another month! The old garden area is now seeded and I see new grass popping up which means it will be ready for Easter, yay!
I’m trying very hard to not put so much unnecessary pressure on myself to be or do. It’s more than just saying it, it’s taken time for me to practice it, step away, live life, and have some distraction like the home projects around here to actually remove it from my life and I’m so grateful for it – even if home renovations can be frustrating ;)
I am done with my 2019 business tax organization! It is not the most fun thing to do every year, let me tell you! But, I have to be grateful to do what I do for a living for the last decade so I find joy in that :) I noticed I spend too much money in certain places so I deleted the apps off my phone.
We were invited to my younger brother’s wedding this summer. Some of you may know that my brother and I don’t have a relationship and haven’t for over five years or so (not really counting). I have a blog post drafted about it but I don’t know if I’ll ever publish it to be honest. Anyway, we’ll be going and I’m looking forward to it and spending time with my parents – even after the 3 straight weeks in Asia, although you might want to ask me after that trip, haha.
A lot of home renovations with the landscaping, gardening and travels coming soon. Oh, and I also bought some more wallpaper so…
Diana Elizabeth has girlfriends coming in town to visit next month she’s so excited, and then… Mariah Carey for the fifth time in concert! Yay!
