Caring for your Skin

Thank you Dove for sponsoring this post.

When I was in high school I used to take weekly baths, for at least an hour. I’d light some candles, have a stack of magazines like YM, Teen, Seventeen, and turn on my boom box and relax. It was total me time – and I’d even have to refill the bath because the water would get cold.

When I left home for university out of state, it was just showers, and then it was all about getting in and out in as little time as possible because – there are things to do! The day has to get started! I miss the slower pace, the me time, finding pampering opportunities in every opportunity.

When it comes to cleansing, all skin deserves gentleness and Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash wants us all to care and nourish our skin even in the shower.

3 in 4 dermatologists say that women often damage their skin in the shower, thinking they are caring for it. Maybe we scrub too hard? Or we use products that aren’t the best for us?

88% of dermatologists advise women to use a gentle cleanser when showering and only Dove Body Wash is made with 100% gentle cleansers, is sulfate-free and is the #1 dermatologist recommended body wash.

Benjamin actually started adding Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash to our routine when we got married, and he has amazing skin so I should probably pay attention to his beauty rituals which I’m certain he has no idea he even has – though he does wear SPF every day since he was 20 so he’s onto something. He’s smart, I mean he married me, right?

I think it’s fun to make every little task enjoyable, even with a body pouf in the shape of an ice cream cone! I was telling a friend that anything you have to buy for purpose, just elevate it in style or cuteness – like brass paperclips, pretty pens, body poufs!

You’re going to need it for utility and you may as well make it fun!
