Farrah and Matt Montelucia Wedding

This bride has a very special place in front of my lens.  Farrah and I met when I photographed her for PHOENIX magazine‘s Summer Getaways June cover.  Signed by the FORD/Robert Black Agency, she was an amazing model to work with so I was thrilled to get Farrah’s beautiful face in front of my lens again.

Her emails of the wedding were so adorable, often making me laugh.  I was beyond excited to hear that she and Matt wanted to do a First Look which meant lots of portrait time, even insisting I decide the day of schedule due to lighting (every photographer’s dream!) but that she also wanted a second “first look” with her future stepson, 5-year-old Talen.  How adorable is that?! My heart jumped right out of my chest at the idea, I just couldn’t wait.  After I met Matt when I arrived at the Montelucia to peek at the private Camelback Villa at the Montelucia, I understood how he was the perfect counterpart to Farrah.  To say I adore them both and Talen would just be the start of it.

I love that this wedding included 20 guests, a pretty ceremony overlooking Camelback Mountain, and a quiet, beautiful dinner on the patio of the Camelback Villa.  Proof that even the loveliest of weddings can be sweet and simple.  Enjoy the intimacy of this sophisticated wedding and this incredibly drop dead gorgeous couple.

Congratulations Farrah, Matt (and Talen)!  You are beautiful inside and out and I felt incredibly honored to have captured this “very big deal.”  This was a day I didn’t want to end!

Absolutely fantastic. I found you through a google search that was horse related, how ironic is that? I truly enjoy your work. Over and over I see you have an outstanding ability to control your light source, which I truly admire. I shot my first wedding yesterday in harsh outdoor conditions and am envious of these beautiful shots you created. I am sure the couple will enjoy them for years to come.
