Nutcracker

What is more Christmas than going to the Nutcracker? I love the ballet and I am so thankful for Ballet Arizona for gifting me a pair of tickets so I could take my best friend Meagan with me!

We did our annual gift exchange at my house then headed to the ballet downtown.

I like to park at the Hyatt Regency for $20 valet right across the street and go back for food after the show!

I just love the ballet and have been blessed to go more than usual thanks to Ballet Arizona. It’s such a lovely time and I am moved by the performances.

When I hear the pitter patter of ballet feet in the back before the curtain goes up my heart skips a beat I am SO excited!

Also, not sure if this all ballet performances but I love how Ballet Arizona incorporates some fun cheekiness to their performances. I love it! Oh I just love the ballet.

At intermission Meagan says, “Let’s go buy some things!” and we took off to the shop to buy some souvenirs. She’s starting to collect nutcrackers (I would love to do that too but I am worried on space). She ended up buying a cute huge nutcracker with a cape and I bought a medium sized one with a cape and the little girl with the nutcracker. She came in different hair colors and the brunette was perfect to me!

It’s never about needing the items when you buy them when you travel. It’s really about seeing it and it reminding you of a great time. I wrote on the bottom of my nutcrackers the date so I will remember the year.

Meagan bought the nutcracker on the right hand side with the cape!

I finally wore my vintage wool with fur trim coat I bought at an estate sale over the summer. I think I paid only $30 or $35 for it. It was hanging on the door of a bedroom and when I tried it on several people in the room oooed and ahh’d so I had to get it! Kinda cute we were twinning right?

I also bought a few ornaments, because I couldn’t help myself and I thought the prices were decent at $5 and $15, I mean ornament prices are all over the place now aren’t they? I do have to say my tree is pretty full it looks like I’m selling ornaments off it haha!

I hope you are having a great December. This time has been flying by and I am noting what to avoid next year to really not pack it all in this season and I look forward to less work commitments next year. I think I’ll leave my Christmas decor up a little longer to feel like I am soaking it up and I also am not looking forward to putting it all away…
