I
t’s crazy how quickly time flies especially when I realized this is my 15th year hosting our annual Christmas dinner pajama party – which this year we feel extra grateful to be in Lilly Pulitzer velour tracksuits (top, bottom).

I always look forward to our HOURS of time together – we start around 6 pm and end the following morning now after I realized I have enough sleep spots for everyone and leaving at 3 am was a bit dangerous. I LOVE our time together and always feel so thankful to have such committed friends – we have been through SO much together and this year I thought we should tell one another a few things we love about one another (and record it).

It was quite late when we shared, we did it while we did our gift exchange. It was also very late because our photoshoot took us 2.5 hours hahahahahaaa. But we have so much fun together we don’t mind how long it takes us to get the shots – which become great memories. The girls sent up the backdrop, I set up lighting, we take group pics, then take individual shots and we just laugh as we goof off. Then I have about 1,000 photos to go through ha! I narrowed it down to about 140.

Here’s the inspiration for the girl gang velour group shot (it was a former Juicy photo many years ago):

I love that they are always down for fun poses and trying new things. Also, the star pose, which was an inspiration by the coolest little Asian ladies I’ve seen!! (goals) –

By now you know we met through pageantry many years ago, we have a Miss Arizona USA and Miss Arizona America in our group – we all have local titles and different pageants, but it was what brought us together and we just started to hang out every weekend in our twenties and here we are, 15 years later!

So many showers, weddings, ups and downs because that’s life, and still here we are, making time to get together and to make memories. These girls feel like sisters to me, and we go so far back. They know all the old me and the current me, and they love unconditionally. These girls know how much I love them but I’ll say it again – I love them so much and I appreciate all they have done for me, I can’t imagine life without them, they really make my life.

I have to share the tablescape this year, too. I looked back at last year’s post to make sure I didn’t duplicate it (the perks of having a blog right?). Also thank you to my girls for cleaning everything up for me too – the photo studio filled with a ton of star confetti AND the kitchen mess. Seriously the best.

I can’t believe another year has come and gone. Life goes by so quickly and I am really enjoying this time off of work, this time of year filled with celebrating with friends (because I won’t be seeing my parents this holiday *cry*) but we make the most of it. Thank you to these souls for 15 years of being in my life, for being who they are which has made my life so much richer. xx
