Me as Beth Harmon from Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit
So when my girlfriend Brooke sent over the cover of The Queen’s Gambit via text telling me I should do that next, I was like YES! You see, usually I pick covers I think I can kind of resemble…like a Twilight vampire, Mulan, or Mariah Carey. It didn’t occur to me that I could still try any look (why let hair color, eye color or ethic features stop from creativity?). So here we are.
Benjamin picked up the mini alcohol bottles (and he was pretty excited to do it) and I headed to Amazon to search for everything else! I love Amazon because it’s like the search engine for shopping. It’s just so much easier to find it, and order to arrive within days.
These creative edit looks cost me about $200 to pull together with wardrobe and props, so when you support me with my sponsored content by liking or commenting, or shop from my affiliate links, it helps me create this content that I am so excited to share with you – HUGE thank you.

I used a lot of Photoshop – on my eyebrows which do not sit like Beth’s, and an image that I layered that was focused just on the bottles. The original image did not have the bottles in focus and I was kind of bummed because I wanted you to see the little details like the actual movie poster! So I found an image I took of just the bottles without anyone sitting there (PHEW!) and Photoshopped it over the other image. I adjusted my hair color with several layers of red and yellow to get the color it is – it’s not easy because my base isn’t blonde, it’s dark brown! I also slimmed my face to her shape and made my eyes just a little bigger.
I adjusted the height of the bottles so when it went into IG nothing important would be cropped out with their cropping ratios…oh IG! There were many adjustments made – just when I thought I was done I realized something needed to be modified. But that was all part of the fun!
What do you think? Have you seen the series?
Diana Elizabeth wanted the right pills so she now has 1,000 of them from Amazon…the things she does for fun – so worth it though!
