My Favorite Album Printer for Memories

Another trip across the ocean meant I needed to preserve that once in a lifetime trip in an album. Many years ago after a visit to Ireland, I printed my vacation images in a wedding album. (Insert emoji with the dollar bills with wings) Though I received the professional rate, that was all that was available and it was horrific in pricing – like we’re talking hundreds of dollars and could’ve been another ticket to someplace across the world. Thankfully, by my next trip the following summer to the South of France, there were other options available to the public – cheaper but parallel quality as professional labs created more options to the public. I know I’m totally country dropping names here but I promise there’s a reason.

I worked with Mpix immediately after France, and the following year I ordered an album for my Thailand trip, and this year, post Switzerland,  I had to get another album – it’s my travel book series I call it. I reached out to them because I absolutely LOVE them – having four albums printed by them already.

Whether you have a once in a lifetime trip, or a once in a lifetime party or day, these linen covered, lay-flat panoramic books are gorgeous! There are also the softcover phonebooks which I’ve printed for the shorter trips like my quick layover in Beijing or boating down the Canal du Midi in France.

^^ I prefer to add the skinny dust jacket so I know what album I’m reaching for. I can see how the tone of my images flow and compliment the linen cover too. There are many layouts for the dust jackets and you can also add text.

You can easily select the layout design for every page or spread and drop in your images and move them around or zoom in. They tell you if you’ve already used the image in your album which is helpful when you are adding so many images you can’t keep track of them all.

I also love the panoramic, photo bleed edge for photos that need to take up all the space like this –

I pick the semi-gloss professional photographic paper. There are so many layouts it’s amazing to have options when you take a ton of photos and you want to make sure every detail that brings back a feeling and a moment time is preserved. Looking through my travel albums is so peaceful for me and I do it more often than you think!

And funny enough, it makes me stop shopping and I just want to save up for my next trip.

Having these memories printed also makes me feel better knowing that if anything were to happy to my files, I have these important memories preserved!

So whether it’s a summer vacation, a party, wedding or a gifted album, check out Mpix for your photo printing needs. I hope to order another album soon as I’m crossing my fingers for another trip this fall! And you bet I’ll be back to order my fourth album from Mpix! I’m heading to Prague for a week this fall to visit one of my best friends!

Thank you Mpix for gifting me an album. No compensation was provided for this post.
