Beauty Queen Beauty Product Favorites: Skincare

F
rom 30s to almost mid-40s (one of us) our group is diverse and so are our skincare products! We met through pageantry in our twenties, became a girl gang of best friends and continue to celebrate holidays and travel together annually (Christmas pajama party, Easter, to Vegas!) Vegas is our time to get glammed up like our pageant days and we always share our latest product finds when we get ready together in ONE bathroom –  just like we did backstage for pageants.

I thought it would be fun to share each gal’s skin type, skin problem, and also skincare routine in products. Some products many of us use – see some Olay Regenerist lovers and Tarte’s Shape Tape. Certain products work for certain gals and not for others which depends on skin type and problem areas – fine lines, dryness, oily skin, etc. But once one of us says we love it, all of us definitely try it and see if it works for our skin type. I’m really excited to share their favorites with you and I hope you can find one of us with similar skin type.  We’d love to hear if one of these products work for you – and also your favorite skincare products.

Brenna
Miss Arizona USA, Top 15 at Miss USA

Skin type: Dry
Skin care concerns: Occasional blemishes around the chin maybe hormonal

Prefers and focuses a much as she can on her preference of non-toxic clean beauty when available. Brenna likes to find similar products at a fraction of the price that work just as good as the pricier version.

Diana
Fiesta Bowl Princess, Top 10 Miss Arizona + Top 15 Miss Arizona USA

Skin type: Combination/Oily
Skin care concerns: Light Melasma

Yours truly is constantly experimenting with new products like it’s my job, because it is! I have light Melasma and freckles – always had them and sometimes you can see them depending on the foundation I use ;). While I don’t have fine lines yet, I recently got 3 Xeomin units ($30 total for the visit) – two top of forehead and 1 between brows for a muscle bump that popped up while I smiled. Worked like a charm.

Favorite Skincare

  • Moisturizer: Olay Regenerist– all the versions in the red jar, basic jar as night cream, SPF for day
  • Cleanser: Osea cleanser (non-toxic) – refreshing, lightweight, smells amazing. Only used to wash makeup. Mornings I use a wet cloth to wipe my face, no over cleansing.
  • Face mask: SK-II Treatment sheet masks – immediate hydrating results, excellent for before and after flights
  • Monthly facials, light chemical peels with extractions. PCA Peel to lighten melasma.
