Staying energized sans coffee

When I get going on my day I’m in the zone handling all my business, before I know it, it’s past noon and all I’ve had is a coffee! Then, later in the day I get a predictable headache, a result of being dehydrated.
But I can’t stop my caffeine addiction when that’s what fuels me! I discovered something new that will help me exchange my coffee for water and Energems. Three Energems contain 133 mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to a large cup of coffee.
I want to seriously challenge you that if you are like me and you drink a coffee and nothing else until noon, to trade your coffee in for Energems, from a friend to another friend. This will still give you energy, but you also need to eat, a banana, apple, protein, anything in addition.
This doesn’t mean I’m going to completely give up coffee, but I want to encourage myself that first thing in the morning is to actually eat something with protein, drink some water, and I can get that caffeine boost of energy through an energy supplement. One of my best friends isn’t a fan of coffee so this would be something she’d love.
You can take 1, 2 or 3 or even more if you want more energy – you can control how much which is great because how many times have I laid in bed at 2 am because I had a caffeinated beverage at night. Also – no jitters!
No kidding – it combines caffeine and B vitamins for energy with L-Theanine to help soften some of the stimulant effects of caffeine.
I just ate three of them and I’m working on this blog post feeling so energized as if I just had a coffee!
- Contain antioxidants, no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
- Only 50 calories per serving (3 Energems) which is fewer calories than a coffee.
- Made with real dark chocolate so you get a sweet treat plus caffeine for energy.
- 3 Energems is equivalent to a large cup of coffee
- 7 servings in one bottle which costs under $7 so it’s cheaper than a serving of coffee! $1 vs $4
I hosted a clothing drive for a charity in exchange for headshots last weekend and needed to pick up additional drinks, flowers, and party favors at Walmart and I also grabbed some Energems. They come in three flavors, Mint Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Berry Flavored Dark Chocolate.
You can find them near the vitamins and energy supplements, right in the sports nutrition section near the pharmacy in your Walmart store – in my case it was on the very end of the aisle.
I keep them by my desk and it reminds me to just take them, grab a glass of water, eat a piece of fruit and protein and get started on my day. Did you know a cheese stick has good protein? My naturopath told me when I was battling fatigue (and not to mention poor eating habits) so if you feel too busy or hungry or not sure what to eat with protein, grab one!
I made a fun little printable for you. It reminds you to put your health first and be kind – just click the image below or click here and save.
Ways to stay healthy, mind and body –
- Pay a compliment
- Eat fruits and veggies
- Drink more water
- Get up and stretch
- Eat some protein
- Smile or say hello to a stranger
All these reminders on the printable I created.
This is my recommended daily routine
1 / Drink water first thing!
2 / Take Energems + write tasks on weekly printable
3 / Eat healthy, read reminders on the list.
Also have to mention it’s super portable – my summer bag (from Thailand) consists of a portable battery charger, Energems, water (I collect the city glass water bottles when I travel), camera and daily planner because sometimes I miss taking pen to paper.
I think my right amount is 2 Energems for that boost of energy that will help me be my best me and achieve my daily goals. It’s great to be able to remind myself to get some actual food into my stomach instead of nursing a coffee until noon, which is so unhealthy! I hope this encourages you to get more fruits in your morning, and drink more water, while still feeling energized!

That is such a great way to improve your daily routine! Seriously I do the same thing! but instead of coffee, my bad habit is a bottle of my favorite caffeinated soda! And I totally space breakfast! I need to try out your routine of Energems and eating food instead!! -client
