Let’s make an Easter egg tree from pussy Willow branches! I include a how-to video!
[cap_text full=”no” size=”40″]T[/cap_text]his year I want to have an over the top centerpiece and use the eggs I’ve collected from estate sales over the past year. I’ve been busy adding spring touches to our home as the weather warms up here in Phoenix.
Finding tall pussy willow stems took a while but I found them at Hobby Lobby (natural is sold out online but here is faux online) – about 7 bunches and mixed them with Trader Joe’s stems too (shorter but more silver tufts). I did have to remove the shells carefully so you can see more silver tufts (see the video further down this blog post). Just make sure the branches are long and use chicken wire to keep them in place.
Isn’t it nice how the harmon hinge door closes off the hallway? It’s no longer a black tunnel.
And then I found these adorable bunny ornaments and I had to have them! The details are just too cute I had to get all 3 and they arrived so quickly.

The glass baskets were passed down, belonging to Benjamin’s grandma! I love them and filled them with fun candies I found at Home Goods. The ribbon is from MacKenzie-Childs. The ceramic basket in the back was thrifted and I often use it for tomatoes or small fruits on our counter. Right now they hold other vintage eggs I’ve bought that I want to display, but are too heavy for the tree.
Diana Elizabeth has been going to personal training to strengthen her back and it’s kind of fun, the hour goes by quickly! She now does dead lifts and squats and recently moved a table and Benjamin laughed at how she positioned herself – no more back issues for this girl!
