Happy new week loves. I hope you had a nice weekend, Benjamin came down with cold so he was out and we vegged most of the weekend. I gardened and we watched Christopher Robin on Netflix (which made me laugh and want to cry at the same time because I love Winnie).
My weekend really started on Friday morning as I desperately needed some girlfriend time so I had breakfast with Farrah at The Henry. She’s a former bride client turned long time friend and I just feel so comfortable around her which is such a sweet spot to be in when you realize how friendships are a gift and getting to that place is where we all want to be when we expand our circle.
Later that night I met up with some of my girl gang (Brenna and Jennifer) at Doughbird and we had reservations at 6:30 and stayed until 11 pm! We just desperately needed time to catch up and all three of us ordered prime rib which gave me a huge laugh. Why not!
I hear blooms are popping up everywhere with the abundant rain parts of the country have had. Like the poppy fields in California, and the wildflowers we have in the desert. I am imagining the lovely photo ops happening right now.
…and maybe a little sneezing.
It was said by Ralph Waldo Emerson – the Earth laughs in flowers. So sweet. I saw it on a plaque when I was at the Desert Botanical Gardens – which was incredibly busy when I went with the out of town visitors we have with spring training and midwesterners (my in-laws included). We always have a spike in visitors who want to get a head start on spring feels.
Our winter in Phoenix is over.
I’m trying to enjoy spring without thinking too far ahead about our summer. Plan a few getaways, slow down, smell the flowers, you know *wink*
I hope you have a beautiful start to your week – kisses!
