I always think there’s a bird that can’t fly and needs help. I think I’ve sent Benjamin on at least three bird saving missions only to find the baby bird is totally fine. It’s the oddest thing, but it’s always spring time because the babies are learning to fly and I see them on the ground so I talk to them, they look at me and take off but not far enough so I tell Benjamin to come help it (and I have NO idea what we would even do with a baby bird) and it takes off into a tree and I look like I’m a crazy overly concerned bird lover. We also had a bird stuck in our fireplace (that didn’t turn out well), and found baby quail hatched in our garden and he brought a baby in to quickly show me and my heart melted.
I do love birds, I also love gardening and knitting so don’t act surprised, LOL. I especially love blue jays because they remind me of home in Nor Cal, and really that’s the only time I see them. And quail, the California state bird, oh my heart. Their little feathers on their head make me think it’s like a fancy little hat like a fascinator. Enough about birds!
I feel picnic ready in this gingham print check dress, like maybe I should be holding my picnic basket instead of my Sancia purse. With the cat’s claw in bloom right now I knew I had to snap a quick photo before it disappeared. I missed my pink jasmine because we were too busy so I didn’t want to miss this!
And just like that, a week later they were gone.
It makes me think that we need to stop and enjoy things while we can – like I should have drank my coffee outside every morning to enjoy this view, and the weather because it was 92 degrees yesterday. Wahoo.

But it’s all good, guess what’s arrived and also arriving today? My custom reverse pleat linen blackout curtains. And Restoration Hardware, so I can have my black out drapes just in time for summer because it’ll be sewing projects, and watching a ton of Netflix on the couch guys avoiding the heat. I’ll just save the blog shoot for my quick trips to So Cal to visit friends.

I’m going to tell you something and some of you are going to judge me for it, but that’s OK, I understand.
Roseanne is back on air and I love it. After watching the 20/20 being the scenes episode about it coming back I just couldn’t wait. I grew up on The Simpsons, Roseanne and Married with Children.
While it’s debatable if they were child appropriate, (I know you’re shaking your head) listen, I turned out alright, at least I think I did. *wink*
Living in the 90s was awesome, and I just love reunions! What I also loved was Full House but I couldn’t get into Fuller House, isn’t that strange? I watched a few episodes but it just didn’t click for me, but I do love Candice Cameron, she seems like the sweetest.
Now I just need 90210 to come back with the original cast and I’d be set. Haha! Is there a show you miss that you would love to see come back?

Not sure if you noticed depending on how you’re reading, but my blog got a huge facelift. Major. If you’re on mobile or reading from your email inbox, come on over to the blog and poke around. I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you think there is anything missing or difficult to navigate. I find it easier to showcase the projects I’m working on and of course it gave me a new project to work on which was so enjoyable.
