Did you know today is Galentine’s Day? Though many of us celebrate it any time before Valentine’s Day, I read that the 13th is the day – although not yet claimed an official holiday on a calendar yet :)

My friends of almost 20 years recently started to do Galentine’s together, I host, naturally. It was an idea with my friend Sommer and now it’s a little tradition we’ve added and why not? It’s so fun to decorate. I make the creamy chicken gnocchi soup from Trader Joe’s – recipe here. I make it when everyone is over because it takes only 10 minutes!

I like taking photos of my tablescapes to not only share with you, but to remind myself what I did so I don’t duplicate it ha!

I’ve had all these items, the only thing that is new would be the hearts hanging off the chandelier. They were basic glitter hearts and I decided last minute to hot glue gun some lace and embellishments I picked up from the Japanese $2 store Daiso.

The ceramic flower placecard holders I bought from a thrift store I have 10 of them total and a cute bowl. I also placed some items on the table that are Valentine’s decor I picked up at estate sales! The heart with the people on it belonged to this woman who worked with her husband who did the woodwork and she painted.

I’m using my FujiFilm x100F camera and I’ve had it for years. I am not sure if I love it that much it has a few built in film filters but it’s pretty old. But I like how lightweight it is and I can import it to my camera easily (well I suppose I can also with my Canon) but I want to try to use it more because it’s more compact and well, I have it! I didn’t really edit these images so they’re not my typical look but jury’s still out on how I plan on using this camera! I still think these might be better than my iPhone with heavy filters?

I got the girls yoga mats from Home Goods. Sometimes I get a bit in my head on what to gift!

I’m pretty proud of myself for not really spending much money to decorate which is always the goal now when it comes to setting the table or hosting a party at the moment. I have so many things from estate sales and thrifting I want to use what I have and spend the money on the food!

Brenna made a beautiful pink sourdough bread loaf for us! It was sooooo good I had four slices with my soup!

What can I say, hosting is my love language and I especially love being at home so I’m thankful my friends drive over to my house, haha! I love this group, almost 20 years of us being together. We have grown up so much together and the conversations we have now are pretty different as we age but we try to laugh about it, because we’re in it together. I feel so blessed to have them in my life.

I hope you are having a wonderful February so far. It is going by so quickly and I’m trying to get out and garden to get ready for spring!

XOXO
