The tree ribbon is MacKenzie-Childs’ 4″ Aberdeen Tartan Ribbon which is sold out but you can do a search. I topped it off with a top hat this year altho I had planned for a bow but decided to go against the trend and do something a bit unique! I added these faux magnolias to the top, and you should buy them if you like magnolia, they look incredible!
Most of the place setting here is from Williams-Sonoma! Vintage silver plated ornaments from a thrift store. The tree in the back is so special it’s from Antique Gatherings and it plays Silent Night!
The kitchen island with the table rod gets a lot of attention during my parties and I like to try something new! The garland is from Walmart and I cut out a few things I didn’t like on it, such as faux candy and it is budget friendly and works well, I’ve had it for several years. I added the wired ready made ribbons from Williams-Sonoma! I love a flocked garland – but you have to be mindful of the mess when you put it up!
The Santa silhouette was a clip art I found online and I made into a larger silhouette since I love silhouettes!
The vintage cherubs are from Italy and I added a little scarf on them! They are from Antique Gatherings.
Can I quickly tell you something I did with this runner I bought from Home Goods? I knew I needed red on the grasscloth tv cabinet and this runner was too long so I cut it BUT not before I used modge podge or use any kind of Elmer’s glue and brushed it on the edges I was going to cut to prevent the threading from fraying!
I bought new pillow covers from Pottery Barn the day before the shoot. I felt like red and green were missing in this room and I sized up my pillow inserts already on the couch and thank God they had some that perfectly worked out! I use euro shams in the corner of my deep PB comfort sofa and I found a quilted euro sham I liked from Pottery Barn.
Light blue velvet wired ribbon from Michael’s with estate sale ornaments and a mix of new in a garden theme! The pre-lit faux garland is from Williams-Sonoma. I hammer the cable hooks on the top of the trim and slide through zip ties and fasten the garland. It’s so easy!
The S is for our last name, Steffen and is an old Ballard Designs wreath I blinged up! I added faux magnolias (just tucked it in) a lot of faux picks, and it looks more festive!
The faux topiaries light up and are from Pottery Barn (similar, more affordable here) and stay up year round. I added the Williams-Sonoma bows.
The outdoor furniture is from Paddy O’ Furniture! The ottomans, fire pit table, umbrella and cozy outdoor furniture! It is so cozy we fell asleep and took a nap on it when it arrived. Check out the blog post in the spring when it was delivered!
And this little guy, the moss and ivy reindeer is the cutest! He is from Williams-Sonoma and I put a scarf around him because that’s what I do around here! Great idea for a hostess gift!
Sconces are from Pottery Barn, as well as the faux topiaries. The planter is MacKenzie-Childs that I use for a side table or I flip over the inside and I fill it with ice and use it as a drink station when I entertain outside.
The light up garland took me 20 minutes to put up this year! It was all about how I disassembled it or rather, didn’t, that made it easier this year. I just left it all attached together with zip ties, even left the bows on, and I kept the zip ties on and added them back on the hook! Easy! I also labeled which side is north and which is south.
