I’m currently in Europe with friends and I thought it was appropriate to share some products I always bring with me while traveling – I will share with you seasonal as some are for spring/summer focus (like a slip and a tumbler), and for winter I change it up.
These are my favorite 10 travel items that are always packed and ready to go to make traveling easier and I think you would find these convenient on your next trip – whether a staycation or far away from home!
A Half Slip | Half Slip from Commando | Show me a dress that isn’t see-thru when you stand in front of the sun…when I modeled for a clothing line I wore a half-slip under my outfits and I felt so much more confident, modest, and now I can’t live without one! I own a 16″ half slip in black, white and nude. If traveling in winter, I go for leggings for under skirts to keep me warm.
A Reusable Tumbler | $14 on Amazon | I have a red tumbler that says “Free Refills” and I thought it was the perfect time to use when visiting a girlfriend in Costa Mesa for 5 days. Then I brought it with me again a month later when I visited another girlfriend in San Diego for 5 days and it is nice to have your own drink to look for – and if you’re a dust freak like myself and you want your drinks covered, it’s nice. And you can fill it up with ice water when you leave!
Canon G7X Wi-Fi camera | $509 on Amazon | My friend who is a travel blogger – like a real one and that’s all he does is travel all the time, he had the most incredible images I had to text him to what he was using and he said this camera. It also takes amazing idols and has a self flip back so you can see yourself if you do selfies or videos. If I could use just one point and shoot for travel, this would be it! It opens up to F/2.
Makeup Valet | Similar | I saw my girlfriend use it and I loved how it laid flat and the brushes were organized. I have dedicated travel brushes and I leave them in there and it makes it easier to pack. All of my makeup fits on the left side. If I need to pack more, I better reconsider if I’m really as cute as I think, LOL.
Packable Tote | $68 from Lilly Pulitzer (pictured), Version on Amazon | A foldable zip tote that is great to use incase you buy more than you thought you would on the trip, just unzip this! I prefer zippers on most bags when I travel, especially internationally.
Jewelry Binder | $79 at Pottery Barn (pictured), $24 version on Amazon | I always pack bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings when I’m on vacation because my outfits have to look put together. Does anyone else think they look better on vacation? I carry on my jewelry and I love see-thru pockets. I’m currently coveting this high-end version Chloe, $155 at Nordstrom.
Catch-all / Jewelry Valet | $6.50 on Amazon (various colors) | I always threw my rings, necklace and jewelry in a corner on a table and worried it’d get lost. If there’s a place for everything it helps – and though I could put it back in my jewelry binder, I sometimes don’t when it comes to daily jewelry or my keys. It unsnaps so it lays flat so you can travel with it easily.
Large Tote | $17 similar version on Amazon | Ideal for carry on travel – this one specifically for my spring and summer travels, and also as a tote to carry while heading to the beach, shopping, or all the fun things where a purse isn’t enough.
Hangers | $18 for set of 100 on Amazon | I keep my dry-cleaning wire hangers for travel – they are lightweight and I can bring them back or leave them. I have found having my own hangers is easier than asking my friend for a dozen and keeps my clothes as wrinkle free as possible. I sometimes travel with a garment bag for a suitcase like this one.
Laundry bag or popup laundry bag | $12 on Amazon | I don’t like dirty clothes touching any clean clothes, and it makes it easier to sort when I get home. This laundry bag zips around when closed. I also use shoe bags as well, which may not surprise you because we are a shoes off home so of course I think shoe are dirty *wink*
For winter, I add these 3 products to my suitcase
Solid Long Sleeve Top (for layering)| $10 on Amazon | To wear under my sweaters since I plan to wear them more than once. They are my under shirts and I wear these once and separate them in my bag with a laundry bag.
Fleece Lined Leggings (for under skirts)| $12 on Amazon | I can wear them under leather paperbag waist pants and skirts with knee high boots. No one will know you are wearing them. I have a nude and black pair.
Clear Umbrella| $16 on Amazon | It’s better to have a clear umbrella to avoid distractions from the gorgeous scenery when you take a photo.
See how wonderful a clear umbrella can be? Also a pop of color since most things around Europe are pretty neutral.
Like any of these products? What’s your must-have travel product you take with you? Share in the comments!

Diana Elizabeth used packing cubes for the first time. She always uses compression cubes because it tights the clothing but then she realized packing cubes are convenient for organization and then she thought, OK, she can use them. It might not save her room but it will keep her organized.
