Why you need a slip in your wardrobe
Jacket / Tank Dress (similar)
That’s why, ladies.
When I was packing for my girls trip to Vegas, just hanging my clothes on my canopy bed, I walked in and saw my leopard print tank dress looking quite transparent.
Have you ever had your photo taken and thought, oh my gosh my dress is see-thru and you can see my legs all the way up to my..? I have. I started wearing slips when I started modeling for Kokoon and Laine would hand me a slip every time I changed into a dress or skirt.

I love this one in white, which works fine under black too (as long as your skirt is past your knees), it’s my staple for dresses. You don’t need a long one or a tight slip if your dresses are flowy and comfortable, which tends to be more my style. The more fitted skirts seem to made of thicker material so you may be able to go without a slip (hold it up to light to make sure). I love Anthro’s skirts which typically have cute slip detailing attached in some of their dresses and skirts.
We all know legs have to end somewhere but we don’t need to show that to the world, so a slip really helps with distraction or embarrassment.
What do you think? Do wear slips?
