Garden Entertaining + Relaxing
This post has been sponsored by Canada Dry®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The flowers are blooming and the citrus trees are on another round of blooms, particularly our pink lemon tree—I can’t wait! Speaking of citrus trees and my well-known love for citrus anything, I recently picked up the NEW Canada Dry® Ginger Ale and Orangeade and Diet Canada Dry® Ginger Ale and Lemonade.
I use Canada Dry® Ginger Ale as the base for a popular punch recipe I serve. And to see new citrus flavors out, including a Diet Canada Dry® Ginger Ale and Lemonade flavor, it’s pretty perfect for spring to have on hand for entertaining and relaxation. We are currently hosting guests from out of state and as soon as they leave, we have friends coming over every weekend. Our entertaining season is upon us!
While everyone knows I love to entertain, I have found a real need and desire to make intentional time to relax. After conferences and travel, I noticed when I give myself an entire week off (from a facial peel or just block it off because I need it), it helps me reset and motivates me for the following week. Whether it’s a bubble bath, gardening, or painting my nails, I’ve learned to put the phone down and just be present in stillness, a good conversation, or a sight. Of course, a great time to reset is with your best friends who lend an ear and can help you realign your thoughts. Mine have been jumping in and helping me through this season; I am so so thankful!
I recently stopped in my backyard to share a video and noticed birds singing. We have so many birds in our neighborhood, always singing a tune. It makes me feel like I’m in a forest in the middle of nowhere, which is often when I close my eyes and take myself there—a little slice of heaven.
And sometimes, being with friends forces me to slow down. I always walk away feeling so energized and happy. That’s what life is about: relationships. Along with hosting, we always need snacks and drinks on hand. With spring around the corner, the NEW Canada Dry® Ginger Ale and Orangeade and Diet Canada Dry® Ginger Ale and Lemonade is like spring sunshine in a can!
I always ask for Ginger Ale when I’m on a flight; I recently realized that! I love the taste of Canada Dry Ginger Ale and my girlfriends know that I am obsessed with orange soda in general, so the fact that Canada Dry has a Ginger Ale and Orangeade drink pretty much rocks my world at the moment. If there were ever the perfect drink to go along with the theme of our home, this would definitely be it.
Remember to pick up the NEW Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Orangeade & Diet Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade at Fry’s! We have one down the street from us, and it’s so convenient to pop in and out when I need something quick. Find your closest Fry’s here. We also need these NEW drinks on hand when we have our neighbors over to show them the expansion reveal and show them what all the banging, drilling and sawing was about.
