Your struggles

There’s only one thing worse than disappointment with God,  that’s disappointment without God.
– Philip Yancey

Have you ever thought of your disease or hardship as a “gift” from God?  This guy did.  In this video, Greg Rohlinger explains his gift and what he believes are the purpose for these struggles:  1) Develop our faith and trust God, 2) Refine our character, and 3) He gives us a story so we can share how God has been.

Hurt, struggles, God can turn those things into a ministry.  As I turn the focus of my blog this summer to another direction, this is an encouragement to me of my desire to tell my past struggles, to not be ashamed of my imperfect life, and to encourage.

“When you give up on God, you give up on your story.  And when you give up on the story, you give up on the chance to see God use you and see God get the glory for what he’s done in your life.” – Greg Rohlinger

Don’t give up on sharing your story, no matter how hard it is.

Diana Elizabeth thinks trying to put up a front of the perfect life is overrated and pointless.  To be a real human and to have a great testimony is to share what you’ve been through to help encourage others. Bottled up hurt and past can’t be worked for good if it isn’t shared, you may never know the encouragement you can bring to someone who is going through the same thing.
