We had lunch on the patio, and enjoyed the perfect weather and view.
Each bedroom has their own private balcony. We left ours open at night to keep us cool. I’m one of those people who like the room ice box cold and I’m toasty warm under the sheets.
After lunch, we decided to walk the property line and continue to walk around the new neighborhood.
First, check out this tree where lightening hit!
And another tree, lightening slash!
How I feel about not being in 100 degree city heat:
We found some “desert toilet paper.”
I don’t know how long this hike will be, so let’s be prepared.
We did some sight seeing and found some perfect walking sticks.
This looks like an interesting tree specimen.
What a sweet spot for a family shoot.
The neighborhood is so cute. I feel like it’s Lincoln Logs life size!
Halt! What is this?
I think he got smashed. I’m feeling in a little country coming on.
When nature offers you a seat to enjoy and take in the scenery, you take it!
Do you see these big old web of something on the top of trees? I saw something moving in it. So during our walk, we got plenty of opportunities to see it up close…
Barf. I’m not an insect lover. Tons and tons of caterpillars, which perhaps those little guys turn into one of these below.
Nate insisted he could pet it. I waited for it to strike, but he didn’t. Fuzzy wuzzy nice caterpillar. Although that is very hard to say coming from this gardener.
Back from the walk, the Mr.’s made some great guacamole as Brenna and I watched HGTV and well, I’m still working on that seed stitch scarf that you saw me knitting on the way to Vegas for the girl trip. I’m now two colors further in. Almost done, almost done.
We played some pool in the downstairs walk out basement – actually, we bended a lot of rules because sticking to hardcore rules is just for the rigid.
I enjoyed the breathing in the fresh cool air!
Seeing all that nature had to offer…
And listening to the sounds!
