I’m doing it because I can. You know, blog about my upcoming wedding to Mr. Wonderful. This is only happening once in my life and then I promise I’ll shut up about it and go back to the weddings I shoot.
I came home to birthday gifts and wedding gifts already. Hurray! Want to know what else arrives today? My custom Pottery Barn sectional that I’ve waited 3 MONTHS for. What have I been sitting on instead? Oh a lovely air mattress. Yeah, I dare you to call me high maintenance now.
Back to the wedding. For those wondering who my superstar wedding team is, here you go:
- Photography: Ryan Ray (as if you didn’t already know)
- Makeup: Lizzy Marsh
- Eyelash Extensions: Wink Facial & Lash Bar
- Event Designer: la Ricki
- Custom Designed Favors: Casey’s Confections
- Seamstress: Rita’s Custom Dress & Alterations
- Invitation Printing (I designed): Biltmore Pro Print
And that’s pretty much it for vendors. As for the details, once Ryan publishes the photos I’ll go into more details about every detail of the wedding from the invites to the small things and give you all the resources, of course. The dress, suit, shoes details I’m a bit mum about. I doubt Mr. Wonderful will even research or read this blog post, but they are from all over: J. Crew, Anthropologie, BHLDN, Badgely Mischka, Nordstrom, basically a random assortment of places.
After the wedding, then well, on to planning my backyard reception for February. *wink* I won’t tell you the theme of that yet, my guests have to find out when they receive their invites post Christmas.
I suppose the personal blog posts will then go from “I’m getting married to Mr. Wonderful and planning my wedding in 1.5 months!” to “This is how I’m adjusting to being a Mrs. and someone teach me how to ignite the gas stove again!”
I hope the hubs will have a stomach of steel as I attempt to cook.
Meanwhile, I found this gem of a YouTube Channel by LuxyHair that teaches video tutorials on different hairstyles and I plan on:
- Watching them all
- Spending all day at a Sally Beauty Supply store
- Having a new hairstyle every day to show off to Mr. Wonderful when he returns from work at the end of the day
Gosh, I love him.
Diana Elizabeth says, you’re welcome for the YouTube channel that you will be obsessed with. Welcome to awesome hair!
