BARGAINS! Thrifting means getting a bargain on second hand items - whether clothing or household items. Tip: If the size is too large and you have a sewing machine, you can tailor it!

By buying items from a second hand store you are helping prevent those items from going to the trash and landfill!

IT WILL BE ONE OF A KIND

Or at least one of the very few left of its kind - no one will show up wearing the same outfit. If you buy a piece of furniture that will be unique as well!

FURNITURE QUALITY

Some thrift stores are filled with vintage furniture - which can often mean great quality. Since many furniture places are on backorder, thrifting is a great way to get your items right away!

TIP: GO ON A WEEKDAY

Weekends are fairly busy and some thrift stores are closed on Sundays so if you can go during the week, you might have better luck!

SHOPPING SUPPORTS AN ORGANIZATION If you shop at The Salvation Army, or similar thrift shops that support non-profits, your dollars are also acting as donations of support!

DONATE BEFORE YOU SHOP

Before you shop, why not fill a box with some donations? You can drop it off at the thrift store and pop in to shop as well - it's like giving back double time!
