How to Easily Unsubscribe from catalogs

Continuing my purging – and also having a wee bit more free time right now since I am not traveling during the week (terrible idea), I have been collecting unwanted catalogs since the new year in this basket.

I have a story to tell you – it was a few years ago, I had my front door screen door open to let the fresh breeze in. The mailman was training a new guy and I heard him say, “She really likes her catalogs,” and I don’t know who said it (and I wasn’t insulted) but I thought to myself, wait, these aren’t even catalogs I signed up for! But hearing that made me realize the ABUNDANCE of unwanted catalogs that I receive and I always recycle them.

But then I got so annoyed because I wanted them to stop! To also stop wasting precious time that the mailman had to deliver them and also stop wasting trees. So I did this google search and I discovered Catalog Choice. It’s a non-profit site where you enter your customer number and it unsubscribes to the catalog for you!

It’s been over two years since I used it and as they piled again I told Benjamin to take every catalog and put it in the bin. I would decide if I wanted to stay subscribed – for posing ideas or just inspiration. The rest, I would dedicate a full day while watching Netflix and start the unsubscribe process.
