Thrifted skirt turned dress

So this silk strapless dress I’m wearing –  I found it at a Goodwill back in Nor Cal for $7.  It’s pure silk and it’s supposed to be a skirt.  I fold in the waistband and wear it like this.

Mr. Wonderful captured me talking, hence my mouth open. I also don’t walk around with my hands pulling my skirt like above. Maybe when I was five, but not today.

I recently had lunch at Chloe’s Corner with my darling girlfriend Farrah and her new little one Amelia when one of the waitresses asked me about my dress and where I got it.  Of course I shared along with my fashion innovation.

Which reminds me, why is it when we’re complimented on something we got a great deal on we have to share?  When we’re complimented on say something expensive we’re wearing, we just smile and say thank you.  Perhaps we know we’ve been suckered when we pay full price.  I have to admit, most of the time I’m a sucker.
