I
am wondering if iPhone pics are good enough for the blog. Sometimes. But it’s so nice to have one device that can use these images everywhere so I’m just going to go with it now. Maybe the new iPhone will be even better than my 11?

Putting up Easter decor already

After putting Valentine’s Day decor away, truly my first time really decorating because I hosted a Galentine’s Day, I wanted to put spring decor up. I want to move onto the next holiday and Easter spring is my favorite because of the upcoming huge Easter egg hunt we plan yearly with our dearest longtime friends and their sweet kids. And so, the Easter decor came out. Also, the weather here in Phoenix is totally spring!

Adding MacKenzie-Child’s courtly check ribbon really makes things feel spring around here. For $28 for the 1″ I promise it can make bland look so cottage cute and English country! It’s just the right amount of personality to spruce anything around your home up – topiaries, faux moss bunnies, baskets, you name it. I’ll eventually get around to doing a post to show everything I’ve put a MC ribbon on :)

pussy willow Easter egg tree how to

I have a tutorial on how I put this pussy willow Easter egg tree together on Instagram. I need to post it soon.

I also bought a lot more Easter decor when I stopped into Home Goods and The French Bee. Oops. I just love spring decor and I also have friends coming by and I want them to enjoy it too!

I bought a ton of candles and a new bathroom towel – for decoration not to be touched of course, and presents. They have great hostess gifts, and the bathroom towels are $16.50, wonderful price point!

Upcoming home improvement projects

After sharing our harmon hinge door project, I hinted we had some more upcoming projects. Well, here we are with visions of  a master closet, HUGE one, and a new butler’s pantry/mudroom. Now nothing has been signed or paid for yet, but we have quotes and this helps with planning for the future. We are still in discussion.

I have my space planner coming this Friday and hopefully the pricing of cabinets will be in budget and the other small things I want to do. Also, I know, I just wallpapered this room last year. Ugh the cost. But it’s OK, I have throughly enjoyed it since and I will keep it, but will need to fix it up with more. We won’t get the same bolt run but that’s fine.

Recent purchases

I thought I’d share some spring purchases around here if you were wanting to spruce up your place too, or looking for similar things.

First, this console table/planter. You could also fill it with ice and put in cold drinks. Once I read the in the description I thought, DONE! This is from MacKenzie-Childs. I cannot wait for this to arrive!

A new spring door mat, depending on your color preference. Or it could be fall with the colors, so year round. I loved how thick it was compared to other front door mats, and that looks substantial! It’s $30 more than their standard front door mats and worth it.

And the courtly check ribbon, in 1″ and 2″ by MacKenzie-Childs – trust me it’s worth buying a roll and adding it to topiaries, wreaths, you will love it! There’s no substitution for the signature gingham print.

And that about wraps it up with what I can link online! I hope you are getting excited for spring too! :)
