The color red or a plaid will make your home feel like the holidays are here. Use them to hang wreaths, around vases, wrap gifts. Ribbon doesn't take up much room and is fairly cheap.

If you can use disposable or recyclable items that can go back into the Earth like greenery, get it, including the tree. No need to store faux greenery or a fake tree.

There are recyclable placemats and runners that come in various colors (printed on paper), you can buy for almost any occasion and no need to store chargers!

If you dislike the container whether it’s a live or faux plant, wrap it in burlap, a pretty plaid fabric or Christmas napkin even!

You can cut or remove berries or the candy parts you don't like. You can strip away as much or little as you want from a bargain wreath! (This one I bought from Walmart)

Or glitter, or whatever color you identify the holidays with and buy the taper candle color. Taper candles don’t take up much room and they add the color you want in the space.
