Stephanie turns 25

She was supposed to play in the LPGA.  In high school Stephanie was ranked top 15 in the national for golfers which naturally led her to accept a full-ride scholarship to play.  But God had other plans for her.

Freshman year, something happened.  A, “freak accident” as Stephanie calls it.  The incident took two surgeries to repair, 10 months in physical therapy, and months on crutches.  Her leg never fully healed. It devastated her, crushed her, and she wasn’t sure what the future

Today, she’s a business development manager for a national company.  She travels all the time for that 40+ hour day job (because let’s get real, sales jobs plus traveling equal more like 60+ hours), yet she somehow manages to run a real estate investment, holding and development company on the side, volunteers over 10 hours a week, and teaches 1st grade Sunday school.   She’s happy, she’s excited for the future, her eyes sparkle, and there’s  bounce in her steps.  She knows this is God’s will for her life.

She’s turning 25 soon and wanted to celebrate the momentous occasion before she headed off to Hawaii with her family.  Happy Birthday Stephanie, you’re an inspiration to all of us!  I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for you.

Diana Elizabeth started freaking out over every age since the age of 20.  Then after a few years (like this past year) she realized that if she continually freaks out over every year of age, she’ll have a heart attack soon.  When she looks at photos in her early 20’s, she’s grateful she lost the baby fat in her face and finally feels content where she is and who she is – and that, is a very good thing.

Diana Elizabeth is an author, photographer, and obsessive antique shopper. You can typically find her in her garden wrist deep in dirt, at a local estate sale or planning her next epic party.
