Spring’s around the corner
Sweater: Banana Republic (c/o) wearing size small / Midi skirt: Banana Republic (c/o) in size 0
I’m going to muster up every ounce of excitement I can about spring being around the corner. Usually it would be an exciting time for most getting out of a frigid winter – and trust me I do love springtime, especially when I lived in California but Phoenix it can be a little more challenging to fully enjoy knowing the summer is going to soon follow. Our winters are so amazing – it’s like spring, so we’re pretty lucky – just not June through September. *wink*
But we can’t have it all can we! And honestly it’s been a little chilly so I’m kind of ready for some warm weather. I said warm, not oven hot haha! :) When I think of spring I also think of Easter and entertaining, seeing friends for coffee and brunch, sitting on the patio – something I plan on doing more of and allowing my business to fit within my lifestyle, and not the other way around.
I love eyelet everything for spring – this skirt is just darling and pockets too! I also like when basics have small details like the buttons on the sleeve.
It was a hectic busy first two months of the year trying to balance life and Benjamin reminded me that I’m really fortunate to earn a living to do what I love – being a creative. Graphic design, photography, blogging, and I think he wanted to remind me during the times I feel overwhelmed to really look at the bigger picture – I turned a hobby into a business.
There’s always a bright side – like that 100+ humid hike I took on the Phi Phi islands in Thailand gave me a spectacular view. Sometimes there are opportunities or goals that require you to go the distance to get the payoff. I feel like I’m giving myself a pep talk for all the walking and hiking I’ll be doing in Switzerland in a few months!
And on that note, I welcome spring because of the spring skirts, lunch dates, blooming flowers, and when summer comes, I’ll be on my summer tour!
Thank you Banana Republic for sponsoring this post.

Love your photos! Absolutely beautiful. I live in the northeast so we are looking forward to the spring and summer, but my parents live in south Florida and I have friends in Memphis and all over Texas so I understand your trepidation. Looking forward to hearing about your trip to Switzerland.
