I’m loving the paper product movement, aren’t you? The easy way to add personality and color to any shower or party is just by the accessories. I’m a huge supporter of Drowning in Paper – owner Jenny White is actually the sister-in-law of one of a long time friend and avid blog commenter, Krystal.
I find it difficult to find a place where I can order less than 100 straws and feel at risk of overpaying. Drowning in Paper understands that sometimes we just want a few on hand because our parties might be small – and of course we need new colors and patterns for our next party. The online store offers paper straws in packs of 25 and paper favor bags in sets of 12 – all for $3.75. Of course if you need more, she has great packages for that too. If you are a Phoenix local, you can arrange pick up of the items too, but shipping is so minimal ($3 starting), it’s such a steal!
Scroll down for the GIVEAWAY to get your own goodies – shipping included! Thanks Jenny!
This is what I plan on using the bags for regularly – I love sending guests home with things from our garden. Slap a little sticker on and label what the herb is and let guests pick what they need for the week!
I have plenty of sage, basil and mint in our garden.
Bright colored straws make my drinks taste and look better.
If you bake, you can also send people off with a little treat bag instead of a ziplock or foil! These labels from Rifle Paper Co.
And what to do if you have a bunch of mismatched straws? You’re talking to a girl who has mismatched Anthro plates – just toss them all together! You can also order straws with ribbon or personalized flags on them.
Hm, I think I’ll enjoy my drink in this spot today.

Diana Elizabeth says it’s better to be prepared than under prepared. She has a few paper straws on hand as well as big plain brown grocery bags for when grapefruits are ripe and guests can go out and pick some themselves (not until December).
