Pucci Inspired Scarf Dress: The Print Bow Dress

One of my best girlfriends celebrated her birthday at Barrio Queen (Day of Dead themed Mexican restaurant) and I wore this outfit – took these photos right before we took off to meet her for dinner.

There are two places I’ve been getting orders from online lately, kind of addicted to Mango and H&M. It’s always been H&M lately, though they adjusted their sizing and I’m trying to figure out what my size is there now. I have no problems with a size number but I just want to make sure it’s consistent so I don’t have to do many returns. I just discovered how much I love Mango and spend so much time on their site lately.

I came across this printed bow dress called Gugi and it gives me all the Pucci vibes with the printed scarf that ties into a bow in the back.

Just as much of a statement this dress is from the back, I love bold accessories that complete an outfit.

Now let’s talk about this dress –  love it and I’m wearing it again this weekend to another one of my best friend’s wedding rehearsal. It feels like a mullet, business in the front, party in the back, LOL.

This white leather brass cuff from India Hicks is an elegant statement piece and I love her leather clutch, the big zipper clutch in black also comes in taupe.  I love how much it holds more than just my cellphone and lip gloss. The thickness of the brass zipper completes the statement.

This bow dress is going to be in my wardrobe for a long time, just like these accessories. Here it is in black. 

I remember hearing about building up a closet of timeless pieces which I thought was very hard to do when you’re right out of college, and also furniture too. I just was too busy building and just living within my means. You can’t have it all right away, and so that was important for me to find what worked – although my bedroom furniture has stayed with us so that’s a plus!

It’s nice to finally be here, this place in life and own antiques I’ve purchased for our home, quality furniture, and same goes for my wardrobe – although I did sell a vintage Chanel recently for my office closet, but totally worth it.
