This past weekend we were invited to head up to Prescott with our good friends Brenna and Nate. The weekend was perfect – we were able to get out of the Phoenix heat and enjoy each other’s company.
These images were taken with a Canon Powershot S100 (point and shoot with manual mode and opens up to F/2), so they are less than stellar from my DSLR. It is however a decent point and shoot if you want to do creative backlighting. I like being able to control how light my images are without the camera deciding for me so this camera for me is a great and light alternative from my 5D Mark III and all my lenses.
The view from their top cabin deck:
A little hike to a fire tower to take advantage of the great weather, see the cabin from the view from the top?
You could say I like brights. I bought my hot pink capri pants from a Groupon Goods special, for $14 including S&H! And then this giant butterfly flew towards me and landed on my leg thinking I was a flower!
At the top of the fire tower talking to Susie and watching a handful of hummingbirds eat.
What’s a cabin weekend without can shooting with a BB and air pellet gun? We had four targets on tree branches and lots and I thought I got all but I think I only shot the three closest.
It was a perfect weekend with great fellowship and we had so much fun going to downtown Prescott and antiquing! What an amazing spot to find some great treasures – I found my first Jadeite item, a big mixing bowl for just $18!
