Poppin’ in to say hi
Linen top: Lilly Pulitzer / Culottes: H&M / Chelsea Boots: FitFlop (on sale)
Happy spring – warm weather is just around the corner for those of you who are over freezing temps. For us (or maybe me) I feel like summer is almost here. I prefer 65-75 with sun (different story when I’m at the beach). I need to put some plans on the books for trips this summer and no international travel plans which would make this my second summer of not going international from my five year streak.
But it’s only March, it’s still early.
I wanted to pop in and say hi because work has been a blessing, thank you for being here, however long you have been reading and supporting what I do. It’s hardly work when I’ve been blogging for almost a decade for fun and realized I could take the other interests I had and create content, still sharing things I enjoyed but in a brand new way that continually evolves.

I cleared out my garden beds last weekend, took out most of the winter harvest and planted tomatoes, basil and peppers for summer. I don’t really look that much forward to a summer garden but I do love my roses that are coming back and the bougainvillea that will be blooming all summer. So there’s that – less maintenance and more pretty things to look at!
My in-laws were in town for 16 days with us in the new expansion. They were our first guests. We had just finished it, but we didn’t have the shower glass door since the backordered item wasn’t planning on coming back in stock for another month or more, so I placed a custom glass order.
A bit pricier, but it is what it is and of course it didn’t come while we had guests but it will be here so I can finally share my favorite bathroom.
There really are so many more posts I have to share with you regarding the new garden room. I’ll get there, it still takes a little time of living in the space before deciding what to fill it with too. But we are so so close.
Then you know, once I think I’m done, there I go adding more things and swapping things like the rest of the house, ha ha ha ok, no.
Easter is coming up, I hope my parents get to come visit soon (my dad says after tax season haha) and then I can host my Easter lunch. This will be our third year, the first time we did a little early one then last year we did it on Easter Day because my in-laws were in town and I decided why not just have any friends come over – and so many did!
And since there are many littles still little, we are going to enjoy this sweet time to love on them, have an Easter egg hunt (and throw in an adult Easter egg hunt too).
Slowing down and being with our friends and building relationships, isn’t that what life is about? Work diligently, pay your bills, serve others, be thankful, love on people, and repeat.
