There’s a new app in town that’s going to change the way you plan, budget, dream, and organize your home renovations and home DIY projects. I recently discovered the hyve app while in Atlanta at a designers conference. I love being a part of that design world even though I’m not a professional interior designer. I was able to really connect with brands I loved and admired and meet new ones, like hyve – an app that you can log into on desktop, smartphone or tablet!

When I heard about it I was like, wait, where was this when we worked on our home expansion we just completed?! I was so bummed we didn’t have this but it’s OK – we are using the hyve app for phase two of our expansion project. Yes, we are already saving up and hoping to work on the open back garage in the next 12 months.

Using the hyve app, you create a project and invite team members – every one from your husband who might be handling the budget (haha), to your contractor if or when you have one. It is like Pinterest on steroids – you can add photos and also receipts, paint details, model, cost, purchase place – just enter all the information and anyone who needs to know about the project details can see it right there.

^^ I gave Benjamin the title of budget manager, ha!

The Hyve app would be fantastic for any business owner who is a designer of any sort – interior, organization, contractor, any project that may require more than one person, feedback on selection and supervision for any projects like budgets and notes.

You can also upload inspiration images. The best part is if you create a kitchen for instance, it automatically knows what you may need for that space – cabinets, flooring, counters, appliances, it adds it all for you and you add in those details.

It is also a great way to document your paint colors for the home and have forever! Say you need parts later on, or you forgot that paint color and finish – if you have it on the Hyve app you will have it forever.

The discussion board is available in the app.

The hyve app is free to download and your first project is free with two other members and three rooms. It’s great because you can familiarize yourself with the app before you upgrade. You can upgrade your free project to the Premium Project which has unlimited rooms and team members, for a one-time cost of $40.50. Say you’re a Flipper, Builder or Designer, for every additional Premium Project it is $63 and you can use it forever. (Be sure to upgrade and make purchases on the web-version to get these prices) Use my referral code DIA7418 to receive $20 back when you upgrade to Premium Project.

For homeowners building their dream home, the hyve app is a tiny one time expense for all the organization it provides to help keep your team connected and your project on track with product selections and references.

It really is worth having all the information you need for your build digitally. You can share all information on one platform and stay on top deadlines, create shopping lists for necessary items to purchase and have access to it from your smartphone or tablet.  No need to print everything out (like did, ugh!) you can access it all digitally from anywhere.

There is a helpful user guide that walks you through setting up your first project and with any other questions you may have on how the app works. Use hyve on your desktop and also download it on your tablet and smartphone for quick on the go referencing!

And here I am where phase two will happen.

I’m just dreaming of this new space. It’ll be a lovely garage, matching your home expansion in the back, same finishes, white fiber cement and a black garage door. It’ll also means we need paint the rest of our doors black, in time!

Here is a look at the two car garage plans we have drafted so you can try to picture it –

Better check with the budget manager on where we are in the project and when he thinks we can get started!

Time to get a quote for it!

Download the hyve app now for your next home project. It will make organization easier, quicker and perhaps even fewer questions by others when they can all log in and find the information on the app. Use my referral code DIA7418 to receive $20 back when you upgrade to Premium Project.

Happy home renovating!
