Organic skincare and beauty with Citrine Beauty

Hi darlings! I was invited to stop into Citrine Natural Beauty Bar, a store that carries the best in natural and clean beauty products. I’ve met the owner Melissa Lenberg at a blogging event, and took a quick liking to her.

After the chaos of last month I took the time to enjoy the great weather and take my in-laws with me to shop at the Biltmore Fashion Park (down the street from where I live) and stop into Citrine for a mini facial and makeup consultation. I got a lot of compliments on my I (cactus) AZ tank top, find it at Urbana here (I’m in size small).

If you’re into oil cleansers, Tata Harper is a good one and a popular one I’ve been told, and this mask, I want it – it’s May Lindstrom “the honey mud” and is great between your regular facials.

I get light peels once a month and trust me my skin has never been better. Vicky at Beautiful Skin & Nails, she’s Amazing with a capital A. With so many beauty products I get as a blogger, my skin has been through the ringer and every time I see Vicky I’m able to reset. She also does my eyelash extensions.

Crystal at Citrine was so knowledgable about every concern I had and assisted in helping me find the right products to add to my makeup collection. I wanted a better daily, lightweight look. I tend to use Juice Beauty’s Phyto Pigments foundation which I do like but the coverage is probably more than I need daily – but perfect for night’s out or auditions.

Here’s what I picked up –

^^ Moisturizer, SPF and Primer by Suntegrity / VAPOUR in Spicy / Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation (refill only) (all c/o)

The moisturizer has SPF, and is a primer! I finally learned how to put on moisturizer properly – thanks Crystal. Warm it up in your fingers (you want the moisturizer that is white and thick) then pat it on, then rub it in. That way your face won’t be all white as you try to rub it on.

I’m using the VAPOUR stick as a contour stick, and I already had the highlighter in Halo from another subscription box I was given, by Nature:21 Blvd.

For a creamy foundation that looks like skin – a popular red carpet foundation I was told, Kjaer Weis is a winner. I’ve been seeing it all over social media and loved the packaging (what can I say, I’m a sucker). You can wear it thick or light, depending on what you prefer.

I am soooooo excited about these three new products! Like I really think you should get them too. I should do a round up post of a few of my recent must have’s now that I seem to be well-versed in beauty and skincare products.

If you’re into the natural and organic lifestyle, makeup and skincare is another great way to continue that lifestyle since our skin is our biggest organ. I recently turned over a lot of my nail products to a non-toxic line.

You’ll have fun this bright beautiful store too – and you can search their lines on their website and they give advice for your skin needs so don’t be afraid to send them an email no matter where you live. They do skin consultations here. If you’re local, set up an appointment if you can and get some great individualized attention for your skincare concerns and makeup needs.

Thanks Citrine for the time and guidance, what a truly personalized experience and I loooooove my products! I’m looking forward to stopping in again – I want some great lip products soon! xoxo!

What a place! I would go crazy in there. Love organic beauty products. I love Tata Harper too. I want the May Lindstrom “The Problem Solver.” It’s been on my wish list for a couple years and if someone (Michael, HELLO!) doesn’t get it for me for my birthday in a couple months, I’m splurging and ordering it myself :P
