No Jet Lag

Hi! A quick pop in as I’m working on a few posts. I got back in around 10:30 pm Labor Day night. I don’t get jet lagged when I get back, I sleep often on the plane ride and look like a hot gross mess but the I wake up all happy the next day. I’m a really good traveler but I think the reason is because I am a back sleeper and I can sleep anywhere. A plane, car, a friend’s couch, I have no problem snoozing.

I also realized I only need 6 hours of sleep a night to feel good. I woke up early every morning and I felt so good – except one day I slept with a pillow over my head (kids woke up really early) and then I slept for 8 hours and I felt terrible, overly tired and not awake. So I guess it might mean I’ve been over sleeping my whole life?? Great news because now I can get more done with less sleep, LOL! It’s only my second day back and I woke up at 6 am again! I think I’m a new person.

I went to visit one of my long time, close best galĀ Michelle, and her family who relocated to Prague for her husband’s work. Michelle is like a sister to me, we met in Phoenix when they lived here before they moved everywhere, she is that girlfriend who will head up a shower (if you needed one), invite you over for a holiday so you’re not alone, drop everything and rush to your side in an emergency – her family really feels like my family. She breathes life into me as many of my good friends do and I just tell her everything that bugs me or whatever I’m struggling with because she’s like a heart doctor. You can say to know her makes me very fortunate that I feel like I won the friend lottery with her and she makes me want to be a friend to others like she is to me – do you have those kinds of wonderful souls around you? I am very close with her kiddos, they know me as Auntie Diana and one time Landon the youngest said, “Hey, Aunt!” LOL!!!

I would lay on a bed tired and I would find all three of them in jammies joining me on my bed like on top of me, head on my shoulder, touching me all the time – I laughed I had never been touched more in my life that week from kids just grabbing my hand while we walked though Prague and Stockholm. I wouldn’t have had it any other way it was so precious and I really miss them soooo much!

Anyway I could go on but I just wanted to check in quickly and say hi, I’m about to have a morning shoot for a profile in a local magazine so I’m waiting in jammies for my favorite makeup artist to get here and make me look like me, haha! It was a wonderful week and I had one of the best trips of my life and I can’t wait to share some pics and highlights so you can see them until you get to see it for yourself in person!
