New fruit trees

We have a grapefruit tree in the front yard, and one in the backyard.  Oh, I almost forgot about the Asian pear tree tucked in the corner too.

We decided we wanted more fruits and so we went to Home Depot and bought a peach tree and a dwarf orange tree.

“It looks small,” Benjamin said when he held it up, a bit puzzled.
“Honey, we can’t buy it full grown.”
“This going to take forever!  If I have a good year I’m going to rip it out and replace it with a full grown already fruit bearing tree.”

Okay.

But for now, with Mr. Wonderful’s parents, we planted our little baby orange tree close to the wood fence and the peach tree in the corner.  Caroline of Boho Farm and Home says we’ll expect to see fruit in maybe seven years.   I figure it’ll be fun to look at and see the tree we planted during our first year of marriage.

Now, we can’t let our love fern orange tree die, right Benny Boo Boo Boo?
