Must Have Underthings

F
rom seamless underwear, leggings to layer under flowy pants or skirts to stay warm, slips under skirts so you don’t see it all – there’s a solution for every wardrobe piece. I am sharing some solutions to help with staying modest, keeping body parts in place and covered, and even help with shape. *wink* I love fashion and though some pieces can have their undergarment challenges, having these pieces help me from avoiding putting a gorgeous piece back because I was unsure how to make it work.

All the body hugging things mean keeping SKIMS seamless underwear and the body tape and pasties come in several colors – the body tape is pretty amazing for those low cut tops but keeping things in place, and pasties always come in handy for backless tops. I always have a pair or two when traveling – two, if in Vegas because usually that calls for something daring and fun! SKIMS also has a variety of shapewear in more skin tones I have ever seen from a line to fit every shade of woman! I find most dresses, maxi included to be so sheer and when I modeled for a clothing line several years ago, the owner handed me a white slip. The 20″ half slip in white can also go under darker skirts, it was this exact one I now own in black and white. I pack them with my summer travels along with the dresses.

For modesty and the fun lacy tops or sheer tops, I wear a HANRO Women’s Allure Bra Camisole. It has a bra built in!  I own one in nude and black and goes great under sheer and lace tops and bodysuits – having a built in bra avoids the mono boob look that a bra and then a basic camisole gives you. Plus, it gets rid of another annoying layer because it’s all in one. It’s pricey but it’s a bra and tank in one and keeps it shape, this is a staple in my wardrobe.

For warmth layering, I wear one of these Slim Fit Long Sleeve Round Neck Top from Amazon and I bought a size medium since it was junior sizing and it fits comfortably under sweaters, especially wool sweaters, keeping it from being itchy and a longer longevity of wearing the top without having to wash it – idea for traveling. I survived winter in France when I wore these fleece lined high waist leggings from Amazon under long skirts (just bring the bottoms up mid calf so you can’t see them) and even paper bag waist pants. Don’t try it under tight jeans but flowy pants work great – I have black and nude. They make comfy pants to wear on the plane too for traveling.

Hope you found a thing or two to help with your wardrobe or that piece you just aren’t sure what to put under it! I’d love to know if you have a favorite underthing in the comments. xx
