Meet Kokoon
Showing you a picture of myself is so awkward. It’s so unnatural for me to be like, hey, look at me. I don’t know how fashion bloggers do it. Go you, but I just get all uncomfortable and feel like I’m trying to shove too much of myself into your face.
Yes, I know this is my blog and having a blog does mean sharing my thoughts to anyone who will listen, but…this is different. Anyway, that was my poor attempt to make you not feel ostracized if I keep uploading selfies.
So I modeled six outfits from Kokoon’s spring line. I met Laine at a NYE party and took a liking to her instantly. She mentioned her clothing line, I mentioned I modeled, then the next thing I knew I was invited to model her clothing line which has been in business for over 25 years!
Here’s my favorite outfit I wore – wait, I take that back – one of my favorites because I really liked a black and white maxi dress too.
These peg leg pants were actually a last minute replica (last minute as in Laine had the pants made a few days before the show), from pants she made in 1987. They were so comfy and I love peg leg pants that stretch – duh, this coming from a girl who can’t get out of her J.Crew Saturday sweatpants.
You can find Kokoon online or find a local representative so you can touch and try on the clothing. Personally I love wearing things that are a more unique and harder to find. I bought the Kanga poncho from their spring line.
Of course buying things out of season or out of style works too. But let’s try to not do that anymore.
