FOREO LUNA 2 Facial Cleansing Brush

I think many of us own a Clarisonic, or a similar facial cleansing device. I wanted to give a review of FOREO’s LUNA 2 (c/o) and give you a rundown of the differences between the Clarisonic Mia 2. I’ve owned a Clarisonic for years since it first came out, the Mia 2 was my second Clarisonic after my first broke when I dropped it in the shower.

I met the FOREO team at a blogging luncheon and instantly fell in love with their products. Their line of products are so efficient, it blew me away and I squealed at the excitement of sharing them with you.

The LUNA 2 gives 8,000 pulsations per minute, removing 98.5% of dirt, oil, and makeup residue. It also clears away dead skin cells so your skin can absorb skincare products better. Which is great because if you’re like me, I spend a lot on skincare products. You only get one skin to live in!

FOREO LUNA 2 FEATURES THAT I LOVE

  • No need to buy replacement brushes, ever
  • Charge 1x every 7 months
  • Hygienic, flexible and gentle medical grade silicone is quick-drying + more hygienic than a bristle brush
  • Personalized LUNA 2 for your skin type (oily, combination, normal, sensitive) – the bristles are different
  • 12 adjustable speeds

So here’s one thing I do want you to know – do not press the device too hard into your face because you’ll feel like your skull and bones are on vibrate. Just lightly have the bristles glide across your face to avoid feeling like your face shaking.

I laughed when I first started and it felt abrupt, but then I realized I was on speed 12 and pushed it too hard on my face – user error of course. Once I got the hang of it, I loved it!

You want to gently glide the LUNA 2 in circular motions for 1 minute. The only thing I missed was that the Mia 2 has a 1-minute pulsing timer and automatically turns off after a minute, and the LUNA 2 does not, so it means I just have to guess when a minute ends, no big deal. I swear my face has felt so amazing and smooth since I’ve been using it for the past week and a half.

The back of the LUNA 2 has the anti-aging mode feature. You place it on wrinkle-prone areas for a total of 1 minute. Your ideal face routine with the LUNA 2 should be 1 minute of cleansing, 1 minute of anti-aging.

Can we be real when it comes to the ick? You know all the crevices devices have that just accumulate build-up that you’re not sure if it’s dead skin cells, soap, a mixture of both? It’s gross. Well what I love about FOREO’s LUNA 2 is the sleek design, it’s just smooth and no nasty buildup on something that’s going to touch your face.

Efficiency highlights – charge it once every 7 months, no replacement brushes. Ta-da.

Cost is $199 for the LUNA 2, a good price in comparison to competitors since brush head replacements are $25+. If you want cheaper, there’s a smaller one the LUNA mini 2 for $139, great for traveling. There are basic options (LUNA) so you can see which device works well for your skincare needs.

Right now FOREO is offer FREE Shipping on all orders over $50 – no code needed!
