I have prayed for the desire to cook extravagant meals. It’s just not happening. It’s not in God’s perfect will.
So, I have allowed myself to be who God has made me to be – someone who likes to eat and doesn’t like to cook unless it’s easy. I do have a few favorite recipes but they are EASY.
Do you see how I tried to get fancy with presentation and drip olive oil on my plate as if it was a dessert, like chocolate sauce. I mean, olive oil may as well be the chocolate sauce to some dishes, if you ask me.
I wanted to share a personal avocado toast recipe, if you can call it that, it’s like so easy and I made it up after eating plenty of avocado toast at coffee shops.
INGREDIENTS + directions
- hard boiled egg sliced
- toasted sour dough bread slices
- small avocado
- drizzle olive oil
- sprinkle with salt and pepper
I don’t think I need to give you instructions, haha. It’s that easy and delicious and I love to serve it for guests. I find two slices is a good full meal, don’t just do one slice. You’ll be hungry 30 minutes later.
I always have eggs, avocados and a loaf of sour dough on hand and I feel like all those ingredients can be mixed into other things like toast, eggs on salad, uhhhh diced avocados on scrambled egg… I’m so creative *wink*
